China Chef II: Authentic Chinese Takeout in Mobile, AL

I had the House Special Chow Mai Fun minus the shrimp since I'm allergic. I was pleased with portion size as it was just enough to fill me up. Also, unlike comparable Chinese restaurants in the area, the didn't skimp on the vegies and meat in the dish. Called my order in less than 10 minutes before I arrived and it was ready.

Always delicious authentic Chinese cuisine at a reasonable price. This is the only place I know of (as far as Chinese takeout) that serves a WHOLE chicken wing when you order their fried chicken wing.... and they are on the larger side of a wing. I only say this because I've had teeny tiny chicken wings from places like Popeyes that were laughable in comparison! I would for sure recommend this place to other foodies even though I know it might make my next takeout order take a little longer because of their delicious food that I'm turning everyone on to. Bottom line....China Chef II is THE place for great food at a great place in midtown Mobile!

I read mixed reviews on this place. But since I like to support small, local business, I went for it with my group of three others. Seeing that it had reviews from more than seven years ago, and it is still operating, it must be doing better than the initial unconducive reviews accorded to the local restaurant. It is take out only, and you will miss it if you blink while driving along Government Street towards down town /gulf. I ordered the Singapore Fried Rice Noodles. It came with chicken, beef and shrimp as the trio cooked in a special, spicy sauce. It was superb. The portion was large enough for me to make two meals out of it. I also had wonton soup, and the wonton was self made and delicious. The soup came in a large container, roughly 28-32 ounces (an estimate). Very nice portions at a low price. Since I am from out of town, this will be my go to place when I return next year to Mobile. I will order the same, plus Cabbage and Shrimp. I cannot wait.

Asked for LG shrimp fried rice with extra vegetables. It was loaded with shrimp and veggies, rice. The biggest container I've ever seen!!The crab Ragu was fresh and crispy. The General Tso's Chicken was tender and spicy.

Gotta love China Chef II. The take out portal is the best. They are always prompt & the orders always correct.

This place is amazing. At first sight, it appears sketchy, but I'm telling you, give it a try. They cook the food when you order it, every meal I've had from here has always been piping hot and fresh. Service is always good. Never an issue with orders (no missing food, special requests honored, etc). By far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Midtown!

The best hibachi around! Great location, right across from South Alabama. Chef Sake is a great guy!

Hole in a wall but good food. I was surprised. They give you a healthy meat to noodles ratio in the beef lo mein. Consistency is key tho so will add or deduct stars based on each visit.
